Blessing to you...your help requested

 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

 Since shortly after the outbreak of COVID-19 I began writing a daily devotion in this space. With the weekend after Thanksgiving I simply ceased doing so. I could give a bunch of reasons why it happened, but they are all so much hot air. 

So, at this point, I simply ask for your forgiveness.

I am thinking of returning to writing them again. Yes, that means I am not sure if I will or not. If I do not have the internet accessible I cannot post them. Someone might say, if you know you will be away from the internet, write them ahead of time.  I could do that! But, for you to get them daily (this is to those who subscribe) I still need to get online and publish the night before so that you receive them.

Here is where I request your assistance.

I am wondering if there are any out there who are missing what I am writing and would like me to return. If that is you, please reply to me in some way to let me know that you would like me to continue posting devotions on my blog. You can do this by replying here, or you could send me and email, or...

In the meantime, I leave you with a short poem I wrote for Christmas a few years ago.

A Babe is born a crying,
The Savior of our race,
To give His life by dying,
That we might see God’s face.
All fear and death abolished,
That we might live in peace,
With God, forever living,
In joy that will not cease.
So, we pray a blessed Advent,
And joyous Christmas-tide,
To you, our friends and family,
We wish were by our side!
May God the Father bless you,
In Jesus Christ His Son,
By Holy Spirit’s breathing,
The blessed Three in One!
Praying God richly blesses you this Christmas!

Please continue writing... this is my morning devotion and it soothes my weary soul😊. Perhaps relating some of the prophecies in the Old Testament to the Gospels and discussing them would be of interest to others as well as me. The Advent Sermons this year reiterated the Red Letter spoken words of Jesus and how there should also be Red Letters in the Old Testament... and much more of course! Thank you for the time and wisdom imparted.

Misericordias Domini Friday - Devotion in Exile

Lection for Misericordias Domini - Friday  Exodus 39:32-40:16       Luke 8:22-39 With tomorrow being Opening Day of fishing Wisconsin, my memory wandered a bit to a past trip with a friend in his boat fishing. We were out in the middle of the lake, leaned back with feet up on the gunwale relaxing, soaking up the sun. Fishing was slow, you’re a bit relaxed. I finally got a bite, put my feet down and they splash as water comes up over my shoe-tops and fills them. The fish on the end of my pole took a secondary priority as the 6 inches of water in the bottom of the boat was a bit of a shock and quickly got my attention. It did not scare me, but I was a bit concerned, we were in the middle of the lake after all.
